The same friendly approach, whichever you choose
Whether you come to a drop-in clinic, a workshop or a course, the essentials are the same. Every session is free. We use plain English, with no jargon, and we go at your pace — there is no such thing as a silly question. You can bring your own phone, tablet or computer, or borrow one of ours. No experience is needed, and help is available in a small group or one to one.
Quick, friendly help when you need it
A drop-in clinic is exactly that: come along when it suits you, with no booking needed. Clinics are open for one to two hours and you can stay for as long or as little as you like. There is no set topic — bring whatever you are stuck on, from setting up an app to sending an email, and a volunteer will work through it with you.
Building confidence, one topic at a time
A workshop is a single session on a single topic, such as getting started with a smartphone, internet basics, video calling, or using online services like banking, shopping and government websites. Each workshop stands alone, so come to any that interests you — there is no need to attend the others.
Building skills step by step, over several weeks
A course runs over several weeks with the same small group from start to finish. Each session builds on the last, taking you from the basics through to using your phone, tablet or computer independently. Courses suit anyone who wants steady, structured progress — complete beginners are very welcome.

DAL for Schools
Practical support for education settings on smart device policy and digital wellbeing.
Supporting schools through digital change
Schools face rising concern over smart device use in the classroom or school grounds. We help education settings respond with clear policy, practical guidance and training, in line with Department for Education (DfE) guidance on mobile and smart devices in schools. We also anticipate the incoming ban on social media for under-16s, with additional safety restrictions for 16- and 17-year-olds, due to take effect from Spring 2027. We work with the whole school community: teachers, school staff, parents and governors, to make it easier to implement changes, find the best ways to comply, and mitigate risks.
Our services
- Smart device policy reviews, in line with DfE guidance
- Advice on suitable devices and equipment
- Digital wellbeing curriculum support
- Staff training
- Parent and carer information sessions

About DigitalAge Learning CIC
Skills for life. Confidence for the future.
Founded on lived experience
DigitalAge Learning CIC was founded by Kajetan Kozub, drawing on close to twenty years of personal experience supporting older family members and members of the public who have struggled to keep pace with digital change.
That experience showed how the cost of a smart device, or simple unfamiliarity with one, can quietly shut someone out of services that increasingly assume digital access, from booking a GP appointment to checking in for travel. DigitalAge Learning CIC was founded in the belief that no one should be excluded from essential services because of the device they can afford or the confidence they have using it.
Trained, DBS-checked and community-minded
Our sessions are delivered by a team of trained, enhanced DBS-checked volunteers and staff who bring patience, care and a genuine commitment to community support. We operate under a robust safeguarding policy and are fully insured.
Ensuring no one is left behind by technology
DigitalAge Learning CIC was established to provide free, accessible digital skills and online safety support to older adults across South London and South East England. We believe that confidence with technology should not depend on income, background or prior experience.
What guides our work
Respect
We treat every person we work with as a capable adult, never as a problem to be solved.
Patience
Learning at your own pace is encouraged. There is no such thing as a silly question.
Inclusion
Our services are free and open to all older adults across our service area, regardless of background.
Safety
We take care to keep people safe, both online and in person.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our work. At least 80% of the devices we use, both for training sessions and within the organisation, are refurbished or second-hand. Extending the working life of existing devices reduces demand for new manufacturing, which is the most carbon-intensive stage of a device's lifecycle, and keeps serviceable equipment out of landfill.

Privacy policy
How DigitalAge Learning CIC collects, uses and protects your personal data.
Last updated: 20 June 2026.
1. Introduction
DigitalAge Learning CIC ("we", "us", "our") is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales, company number 17237597, registered office at Dalton House, 60 Windsor Avenue, London, SW19 2RR. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to anyone who contacts us, signs up to our sessions, volunteers with us, or otherwise shares personal data with us, whether through this website, by phone, by email or in person.
2. The personal data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run our services well. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Name, email address and phone number, given through our contact form, sign-up form, or when registering for a drop-in clinic, workshop or course
- Details of the enquiry or message you send us
- Attendance and basic progress records for participants in our sessions
- Volunteer and staff records, including DBS check outcomes, where someone applies to volunteer or work with us
- Information shared with us by a family member, carer or professional referring someone to our services
We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health information) unless it is shared with us directly and is necessary for safeguarding or for providing appropriate support, in which case it is held in line with our safeguarding policy and the additional protections required by data protection law.
3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, to organise and run our drop-in clinics, workshops and courses, to keep participants and volunteers safe, and to report to funders and partners in anonymised or aggregated form. Under UK GDPR, we rely on these lawful bases:
- Your consent
When you register for a session or volunteer with us, you're giving us permission to use your data for that purpose. - Legitimate interests
We process data to run our services effectively, respond to enquiries, and improve delivery. We don't do anything with your data that you wouldn't reasonably expect. - Legal or safeguarding requirements
We must keep records by law, for example DBS checks for volunteers or safeguarding documentation to protect people in our care.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We never sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Who we share data with
We may share data with trusted third parties who help us deliver our services, such as DBS-checking providers, IT and email service providers, and venue partners, strictly for the purpose of running our sessions. We may share anonymised or aggregated data (for example, the number of people attending a course) with funders and partners for reporting purposes. We do not share identifiable personal data with funders without your consent unless required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary. As a general guide: enquiry and sign-up data is kept for up to 12 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner; attendance records are kept for as long as needed for funder reporting, normally up to 3 years; and volunteer or DBS records are kept in line with statutory requirements and our safeguarding policy. Data no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure, including restricting access to those who need it to do their role.
7. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not store any personal information in your browser.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, and the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the personal data we hold about you, the right to object to our use of it, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to us in the first instance, or directly to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
